Our houses regularly band together to strengthen the community, whether it is volunteering at the neighborhood soup kitchens or attending awareness fundraisers. We found that these steps of action in the community build the very foundation for us to stand on while rebuilding our lives. Daily and weekly house meetings create and promote the ability to communicate, develop meaningful relationships, and maintain and healthy support network. Richard’s House was the first house we opened when starting «A New Beginning.» Since its opening in November of 2014, we have successfully helped many clients to rebuild their lives. Lucie champions the belief that love serves as a potent antidote to addiction, striving to foster a safe and nurturing environment for women. Her vision, coupled with unwavering dedication, laid the foundation for A New Beginning, shaping it into the vibrant and evolving program it is today.

Since the first year of sobriety is critical, many clients choose to continue addiction counseling throughout their first year of recovery. I moved into a sober house that New Life House Review had a culture of recovery and lived there for 18 months. Afterwards I went back to school to become a drug and alcohol counselor. Offering both telehealth and in-person sessions, New Beginnings provides individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

Engaging in service work brings a sense of purpose, personal growth, and builds relationships. It fosters empathy, makes a positive impact, and improves mental health. Ultimately, it strengthens communities and promotes compassion and altruism. Biological, environmental and psychological factors can all impact recovery.

Based in Springfield, MO, NBS is a self-funded 501(c)(3) organization with no financial ties to religious groups and serves as a level 2 recovery support service provider. For teen rehab to succeed over the long term, patients must address the underlying issues that make them feel dependent on drugs or alcohol. Today I am a father of two amazing boys, Ricky and Carson, whom I want to set a great example for. Parenting classes help parents develop and assist in helping establish discipline skills. This 9-week action plan engages participates to explore and identify areas of need, learning how best to change or better parent their children. The class starts with a video «removed» and ends with hygiene/health/nutrition. Deciding to enter a treatment program is the first step to a better life. A family systems approach is utilized for our young children and teen clients. Therapists will be assigned based upon the unique needs of each client and the expertise of the counselor.
